Condolences

Condolence From: Richard Benvisto
Condolence: Joseph was a neighbor in my building who I always enjoyed seeing. He was a quiet man who was very personable. We would always talk when we saw each other, and he took excellent care of his dog who loved him. He was a decent person who has left us too soon and when I was told that he passed, I felt and still feel very sad. I know he is in a better place. He is missed.

Condolence From: Frank Kehoe
Condolence: To my brother Joey Friz. I met you while still playing for Sheridan when I was 14 years old. You came around with Paul Gasser & helped Coach our team. Four short years later I would join you as teammates on the Council softball team a ride that would last for 12 years. Our team was not a group of guys that got together to play ball & fight which seemed to go hand in hand no matter what league or boro we played in. We were always together at the club , or on 3rd Avenue , our post game breakfast at the Vegas followed by an afternoon at the Club. We attended each other’s weddings , we’re around for the birth of each other’s children. Our group raised their families together. As I , Loc & Kevin were younger than most we reamained close. I have not been an active part of our larger group for about 10 years. I missed my friends and would enjoy the periodical calls usually from Paul while at ONeills after a day of softball. I missed my friends , our bond and the memories that I will cherish forever. Jo- Jo Fabreeze you brought so many people together, I’ve reflected on our old conversations and the advice you gave me especially when it was time for me to grow up. You told said “ Things were going to change for me , but this (our groups bond) did not have to. You also said something after that will remain between us … lol or at least until I have a few with the boys over the next 2 days. Thank you for being my big brother. I love you & miss you my friend.
