Dina Miletti, of Brooklyn, New York passed away on October 7, 2020 at the age of 90. Dina was born in Trieste Italy, June 2, 1930, to the late Romeo and Ophelia (Spanio) Padoan. At the age of 16 she left school and started working in a hair salon and also cared for her two older brothers.
When she was 18 years of age, she married Lino Miletti and later immigrated to the United States in 1951 settling in Greenwich Village, New York City, NY. In 1958, Dina & Lino, along with their three children moved to Brooklyn, New York buying their first house. In later years they had two more children; raising a total of five children. She still resided at this home at the time of her death. She was a homemaker and in later years became a bus matron for Hoyt Transportation. She worked there until her retirement at the age of 80.
Dina is survived by her beloved children, Viviana Miletti Martarella, Roland, Dario and Ronnie; cherished grandchildren, Dina, Frank, Nicole Renee, Alexander, Vincent, Dario Jesse and 8 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Lino, her beloved son Daniel and infant daughter Marina.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9, 2020 from 2-8 p.m at Scarpaci Funderal Home, 1401 86th Street, Brooklyn, New York 11228. A mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of Solace Roman Catholic Church, 2866 West 17th Street, Brooklyn, New York at 11:30 a.m. Entombment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, 391 Sharrott Avenue, Staten Island, New York.
