Joanne T. Amaturo


Joanne Teresa Amaturo, 71, passed away on December 24, 2019. Joanne was born on August 18, 1948 to Rosario and Frances Cutrupi in Brooklyn, New York. She was a graduate of Bay Ridge High School. Joanne married Ciro Amaturo on April 25, 1970 and were happily married for 49 years. She worked as a devoted preschool teacher at Saint Clare School and at Busy Bear Nursery School. Joanne loved cooking, crocheting, arts & crafts, travelling, and spending time with her family. She touched many lives with her generosity, caring for others, and passion for life.

Joanne is survived by her husband, Ciro; sons, Joseph and John; daughter-in-law, Cindy; 3 granddaughters, Gabriella, Gianna, and Olivia; and numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded by her parents, Rosario and Frances Cutrupi; her in-laws Pasquale and Rosa Amaturo; and her sister, Marie Esposito.
