Condolence From: Samantha Schiavi
Condolence: My heart is heavy this past week after hearing about this terrible tragedy. I met you when I was in 5th grade, you were in fourth."VG DAYS" VGSC Swim team, blue arrow, the list goes on. You were my first boyfriend, my first kiss. Childhood, innocent love and appreciation. You and your family were always so loving and kind, to me- a lot of my childhood memories consist of you and Mike and they were that much better because you were in them. Times change people go their separate ways. You have grown into a wonderful man who has positively impacted the lives of many, if not everyone you came into contact with. I believe everything has a purpose in life, you became a nurse at Mt. Sinai and even went on to become an Ostomy wound care nurse. You worked along side my surgeon, Dr. Khaitov at times. The GI floor I have spent COUNTLESS months in, was the floor you worked on. What are the odds of that?! When you found out I was sick, you reach out to me and wished me well. I am deeply saddened by this tragedy. I will try my best to take any positive from this situation that I can, I will live life to the fullest and not waste it by being sad, angry or allowing obstacles to get in my way and bring me down. I will live to the fullest for you, in honor of you. May you be at peace, God bless your beautiful wife and family. Bless you always. I'm so very sorry, I cant believe I am writing this. You were an amazing person and I will ALWAYS keep your beautiful family in my thoughts, prayers and well wishes. Love, Samantha Schiavi.
