Obituary for Howard Venetsky

Howard  Venetsky
Captain Howard Venetsky former member of
Ladder 111 died after a 4 year battle due to 9/11
cancer. He served the FDNY proudly for 23 years
He started his career in E33/L9 was an officer in Rescue 2 & then served 13 years in Ladder 111.

His career spanned some of NYC’s most historic
Fires - including the NY Telephone Company Switching Fire, Blue Angel Night Club & the Waldbaums Collapse.

After retiring from FDNY he headed up all Fire Safety & Protection Plans at MSKCC implementing new safety standards in operating rooms that were adopted by OSHA into laws & regulations.

He is survived
by his loving wife Susan Wipper-Venetsky
His sons FF. Jake H. Wipper & Bari S. Venetsky
His daughters Adria Venetsky &
Amanda Venetsky-Mancini
His sister Marion Musicant
And his grandchildren:
Angelica, Carina, Dylan,Frank, John, Joseph & Michael.
