Obituary for Alexander Cingone

Alexander James Cingone, 93 of Brooklyn, NY, died December 24, 2017, at Mountain View Hospital in Las Vegas, NV, where he resided the last 25 years of his life.
He was the beloved husband of the late Jean Cingone, who died September 3, 1987.
He was born on September 29, 1924, the youngest son of Gennaro and Elvira Archipoli Cingone.
He started Centerfield Construction Corporation in Brooklyn and continued in the construction industry until he retired at the age of 62.
He was an accomplished sculptor and artist. He also loved singing with his musical group in Las Vegas, where they would visit and bring joy to senior citizens in various nursing homes.
He served in World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Artillery.
He is survived by his children, James Cingone and his wife June, Alexander J Cingone and his wife Nancy; Grandchildren: Jainé Kershner and her husband Newt, Cristina Rackoff and her husband Adam, James Kyle Cingone; Great-grandchildren: Emma Natalie Rackoff, Natalie Hunter Kershner and his loving niece, Elvira Caras
His family will receive relatives and friends at Scarpaci Funeral Home, 1401 86th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11228 on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
He will be buried in St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY with his loving wife Jean.
