Condolence From: Joseph Mantovani
Condolence: Hello, I'm not sure if anyone remembers me. My twin brother and I were part of the youth groups, CCD and other programs at Our Lady of Guadalupe during the 1990s. It was many years ago but I still remember John's dedication, commitment, and faithful work. My time spent there with John and many others was formative in my faith and life. It helped shape my view of church as a place where people welcome and care for each other because we are all loved by God. I grew up to become a Lutheran pastor. I have spent the past eight years serving at a church in Woodside, Queens. I remain thankful for John's many years of work and service to so many. His work mattered, he made a difference and he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all those who mourn his passing. I must trust that the sure and certain hope of the resurrection, the Easter news that Christ is risen and we will arise can bring comfort to those who mourn. with sadness and thankgiving Joseph Mantovani
